Following Jesus

Following Jesus is an act of trust and obedience. Before I follow anyone I want to know their qualifications and authority to lead. Many people follow the hype of a personality and charisma into destruction. I could go on to list the many men and women who deceived people that were seeking God, but took the wrong way to their own peril. "Jesus is qualified to lead" When we search the scriptures seeking the truth of God rather than the justification of our way opposed to the way of God, we begin to receive revelation knowledge Luke 4:36(NKJV)says 36 Then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, “What a word this is! For with authority and power He commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.” Did you catch that these are people who are identified as enemies of Jesus, are witnessing to us of the qualifications and authority of Jesus over the kingdom of Satan, Jesus who has the power to forgive sin. Jesus went through the Land healing all manner of sickness and disease, not only that He quieted a storm by speaking peace be still to the storm and the storm obeyed Him, And then incredibly He shows His authority over death speaking to a dead girl by speaking to her saying damsel arise and she arose alive again, he also calls Lazarus from the dead a man whose been dead for four days and what does Jesus do? He says Lazarus come forth, and Lazarus comes hopping up and down full of life and Jesus says lose the man and let him go. Here is what I call the ultimate qualification, Jesus died for our sin on the cross He had been beaten all night long the flesh was ripped from His body the beard is pulled out of His face He is suffering the shame that was ours to bare. He took our suffering and shame so that we wouldn't have to and so He states "It is finished". He's buried in Joseph's new tomb and on the third day He rose from the dead, these are His qualifications. Will you follow Him? Jesus is the only way. until next time. God bless,
